Daily Gospel (Lk 6, 12-19): In those days, Jesus went to the mountain to pray, and spent the night in prayer to God. When it was day, he called his disciples and chose twelve of them, whom he also called apostles. Simon, whom he named Peter, and his brother Andrew; James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James of Alpheus and Simon called the Zealot; Judas of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

I down with them stood on a level place; There was a large crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and be healed of their diseases. And those who were tormented by unclean spirits were cured. All the people sought to touch him came forth from him and healed them all.
