Daily Gospel (Lk 9, 51-56): It happened that as the days drew his inauguration, he stated in his will to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before him, who went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make ready for; but they did not receive him because he intended to go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John said, Lord, do you want to call down fire from heaven and consume them? But he turned and rebuked them; And they went to another village.
