Reading the Holy Gospel, Saturday, 10 September (click here)

Saturday, 10 September
Daily Gospel (Lk 6, 43-49): At that time, Jesus told his disciples: Because there is no good tree that produces rotten fruit, conversely, no bad tree that produces sound fruit. Each tree is known by its fruit. No figs from thorns, nor gather the grapes from brambles. The good man out of the good treasure brings out the good and the bad, bad gets the bad. Because of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I say? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man who built a house, he dug deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, but could not destroy it for being well built. But who has heard and has not been implemented, it is like a man who built a house on the earth without foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell: and great was the ruin of that house.

  Word of God!
