Gospel (Lk 9, 43b-45): At that time, all being amazed by all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples: "Put these words into your ears: The Son of Man will be handed over men". But they did not understand what he said; It was veiled from them so that they did not understand and were afraid to ask about this issue.
