  Gospel (Mt 13, 31-35): At that time, yet Jesus proposed another parable to the people: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so much so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. "

He told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened." All these things Jesus said to the people in parables, and without a parable he told them nothing, so that through the prophet might be fulfilled: 'I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has been hidden since the creation of the world'.
